How it works:

We market services such as housekeeping, compaionship and home repairs to the community via social media, word of mouth and special in person events. We pass these leads on to trusted service providers, who agree to the following:

• Adhere to our code of conduct and policies
• To carry a valid, vulnerable sector police check as well as commercial general liability insurance
• To serve our clients to the best of their abilities

How we support our entrepreneurs:

Over 55 Skills At Work supports you in a variety of ways. We market your service offerings, accept and screen incoming leads, we provide training opportunities, and we can give you advice on running your small business. We work hard to make running your own business easier for you.

Not sure if running a small business is for you?

Our program was created to tap into the skills and experience that adults age 55+ possess. Throughout layoffs, downsizing, COVID and other economic events, our Associates are able to control their own financial well-being. We cannot gaurantee any level of work, and we cannot guarantee financial success, but since 1986 thousands of people have joined our program to launch their own small businesses.

Does joining the program cost anything?

Here are the costs that you need to consider (financial assistance may be available):

• Annual membership ($50 per year)
• Commercial General Liability insurnace ($200 per year or $20 per month through Over 55 Skills At Work)
• Vulnerable Sector Police check ($45)
• Any tools or cleaning supplies that you may require
